Ce jeudi 10 octobre, les élèves des deux classes de première générale du lycée ont assisté à la projection en version originale du film « Made In Degenham » au cinéma Le Royal de Condé-en-Normandie.

Inspirée d’une histoire vraie, ce film retrace le combat des femmes piqueuses de cuir dans l’usine Ford de Dagenham (située tout près de Londres) afin d’obtenir un salaire équivalent à celui des hommes pour leur travail demandant des compétences spécifiques non reconnues par Ford à l’époque.  Leur lutte légendaire qui eut lieu en 1968 a abouti à l’écriture d’une loi en 1970 au Royaume-Uni nommée The Equal Pay Act.

Le choix de ce film a été fait par les enseignantes dans le cadre d’un travail en cours d’anglais sur la place et le rôle de la femme dans la société, travail qui permet aussi une réflexion autour de l’égalité filles-garçons dans la société et au sein de l’établissement.
