Newsletter #16

Dear readers,
We are the successors of euro class students. We met in April last school year in Charles Tellier high school Charles Tellier so we will continue and finish this project together!
When we went back to school, we learned more about the project and our teacher showed us pictures, videos, and documents from the previous years. Thanks to the quiz which had been created by the former students, we discovered our common ancestor, Rollo, before visiting his tomb in Rouen’s cathedral.
On 25th September, we took a bus trip and we travelled to the great city of Rouen. In the morning, we spent time in the “Cité immersive Vikings” (an immersive museum). There, we discovered different visions of Vikings when they came to Normandy. The first one was people who were violent and barbarians. Then, we discovered their craftsmanship and spiritual activities. To finish, we studied the peace process between the Franc King and Rollo.
After lunch break, we went for a rally in the city center to follow Rollo’s vestiges in Normandy such as statues, tombs or monuments like the cathedral. We had to answer enigmas and take silly photos.
That was an enriching experiment! There were articles in the local news too!
